Dear Friends of Latah, Clearwater and Benewah County:
April 18, 2009
Dear Friends of Latah, Clearwater and Benewah County:
We are Western Pacific Timber. When you have a moment, you can
find out more information about our company at wptimber.com.
As you may be aware, we are a trading partner in a potential land
exchange with US Forest Service. This is known as the Upper Lochsa Land Exchange. Some of the parcels the US Forest Service has
offered in the trade include parcels in Latah, Clearwater and Benewah counties. You may obtain information about the exchange at the
Forest Service website. The list of
the proposed parcels and their location is included on this website.
The exchange process is in its early stages. As part of Western Pacific Timber’s scoping and due diligence, we would like the opportunity to listen to concerns or questions you may have about particular parcels that the US Forest Service has offered in the proposed trade. As part of this effort, we will be visiting your area during the week of April 19 through 24. Our visit will include the communities of Moscow, St. Maries, Potlatch, Troy, Deary, Bovill and Elk River. If you would like to set up a meeting with either one of us during our visit, please call our office at (503) 517-8951 so we can make arrangements to meet. Also, we are
hosting an information meeting at the Lewiston Parks and Recreation Community Center located at 1424 Main Street on Wednesday, April 22, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Please feel free to stop by.
Western Pacific Timber is excited about the opportunity to be part of the community, and we look forward to meeting you.
